Still, the feeling of the west exploring unknown markets, becoming some kind of a hero makes me think of a "typical" american movie with a happy ending. American culture has taught people what´s approved to be good taste. Like the example of comparison, that people that never seen the concept of a hamburger suddenly feel the difference between a "hamburger" and a Whopper. But, what I like is peoples expressions in their faces of curiosity and expectations. So, overall I like the campaign because of the idea of bringing something unexpected into peoples lives.

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

I have mixed feelings about the campaign. First of all I think it is a great campaign that gets a lot of attention and that most people (I believe) is affected by in one way or another. A campaign that attracts a debate. But it also leaves a bad feeling inside of me. I can come up with so many other things to give them if it was a charity and Whopper is not on my list.

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

I think these people would be happier without the knowledge of hamburgers and most of our western culture.

The campaign is probably great for the american market though :-)

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

It leaves me with such an uneasy feeling. Why on earth do these people need to taste whoppers?

That aside, I bet it's effective, gets people talking etc.

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

Everybody loves a Whopper, right?!

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

Well, the Americans have a dark history of treating the natives poorly (and so do we in Europe, I know), so I think it's really nice that they're trying to pay for the damages. I actually think CP+B came up with the concept - as a charity thing - before they decided that they needed help from Burger King. Or?

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

Hey, nice blog. To me, the whopper virgins is so extremely done in bad taste that it is good. And being Crispin you know they're up to something... anyway - we're talking about it so it can't be all bad.

Re: What do you think about the Burger King “Whopper Virgins” campaign?

I think it is great. But I'm not sure how ethical it is? Is everything ok in advertising? Is it ok to "make fun" of people that haven't tasted a Whopper? Like you would be a happier person by knowing what Whopper is all about? I realized there are only questions in my posting but these are my first impressions of the campaign. I still think it's a great idea though.
